VMware

Most 1st Place Votes
My suggestion for virtualized machines is VMware and the VMware Player. I have yet to try Xen so my suggestion depends on your host OS.

Bottom line is... what OS's do you plan to virtualize and on top of what host OS are you targeting? Not one is the winner in all categories. They all are great for what they do.

Host: Ubuntu Studio (Gutsy)
Guest: XP (primarily for Photoshop CS3 and my wife's Win-only school software)
